Happy racing season! These two gems are giving the Superglider and Supercharger a run for their money as the new best sellers. You asked for it, and here you go - the black Mystery, and Boomerangs. It was going to be a straight black, on black, on black, but this is more of a flat silver black, on flat blue-black, on glossy black...whatever...

but really, the more important thing is that these unidirectional carbon decks are both the best value in downhill skateboarding. The boomerang is just under 3 pounds, and the mystery is just under 4 pounds with little to no deflection under a normal size skateboarder. The core is a vertically laminated combination of extremely lightweight aspen, and very stiff stringers of purple heart for a perfect structural support, and flex pattern. Similar decks can easily run for double the price. Some DH decks can be way over-engineered. Although the production is very impressive, I believe some of the best designs are the simple ones that have a balance of all the important elements that end in a successful deck, and solves the problems of the intended use equally. You don't want a heavy hunk of plywood, and you don't need a hollow outer space deck that feels like a tin can. You certainly won't guarantee a win with a $800 deck, but they are very cute, especially if you get matching leathers.
